I've always been happiest when I'm making something. Today, that something happens to be projects, systems and organisations.

what changed

The materials have changed.

The instinct hasn't.

I've spent more than thirty years learning, creating and helping people turn ideas into reality. My career has taken me through art, textile design, film production, gallery ownership, marketing, project delivery and operational systems. On paper, it looks eclectic.

To me, it has always felt like the same journey.

I've never been driven by job titles. I've been driven by curiosity.

If something interested me, I learnt it. If something needed building, I worked out how. If a project mattered, I wanted to help make it happen.

what stayed the same

Looking back, every stage of my career has taught me something useful. Not just technical skills, but how to work with different people, different organisations and different ways of thinking. I've learnt that good ideas don't always become reality without someone taking ownership of the detail. I've learnt that when good people struggle, it's rarely because they lack ability. More often, the systems around them aren't helping them succeed. And I've learnt that clarity, patience and trust usually achieve far more than urgency ever will.

today

Today, I help purpose-led organisations, growing service businesses, charities and public sector organisations deliver important work.

Sometimes I'm brought in to lead a project from start to finish.

Sometimes I'm asked to build the operational systems that support delivery.

Sometimes it's simply about bringing enough clarity, structure and momentum for people to move forward with confidence.

The role changes.

The aim doesn't.

I want to leave every organisation stronger than I found it.

I believe good people deserve systems that help them do their best work. I believe work should support life, not consume it. And I believe that when the right people have the right structure around them, remarkable things can happen.

That belief shapes every project I take on.

I've always followed my curiosity.

It's taken me through art, film, business, projects and operational systems.

Looking back, I can see they were never separate careers.

They were all different ways of doing the same thing.
